Lighting Practice

I wanted to get some practice with some of the ideas from Stobist.com and needed a model. I had taken photos of Lisa before at kickball games and some parties, and we work at the same university. I asked her on Friday if she wanted to do some modeling for me and she was really excited, so much so that she suggested Saturday as a good time to do it. We both went out on the internet and gathered photos that we liked for one reason or another and broke them down for lighting and posing. What was supposed to be just a few setups and wardrobe changes turned into a marathon shoot of almost 7 hours. To Lisa's credit she performed great. Never got tired, last photo as fresh as the first. She had some really good ideas and has a good eye for a good shot too. She picked out the photo above after I had missed it on a quick edit in Adobe Bridge. It turned out to be one of the best shots.
